Hi, I’m Nic

I’m a professional actor and voiceover artist based in West London. I trained as an actor at the Poor School in Kings Cross

For as long as can I remember, I’ve always wanted to be an Actor. I finally realised I could chase this dream later in my life and started the classical 2-year training course at The Poor School in my late twenties. It was one of the most stressful and taxing experiences of my life, but also set me on a course for a life and career I love, and I wouldn’t change it for the world!

I’ve always loved listening to voices, jingles and adverts and imitating them so it was easy for me to find a home in the world of voiceover. At school, I joked that one day I would be the voice of the”Cashier number 4!” lady in the Post Office…a dream that has not yet come true but there’s still time!

I worked with Nic previously to voice some acted scenarios for a training course I do on “Dealing with Difficult Customers”.
I needed her to do some variations for a new client but I only realised this on a Friday, and I needed it by Sunday afternoon!
Not only did she work over the weekend to do this for me, but the recording was outstanding!
Part of the script required Nic to cry and her stellar performance almost brought some of the course delegates to tears. The scenario had a profound effect. So much of our course is about customers shouting and grumbling. For the first time, we have a customer being devastated and it works brilliantly.

Fully Equipped Home Studio

My home studio is second to none. The booth was designed to ensure the recorded audio is as good as it can be. I don’t need to worry if it’s windy or if the neighbour’s dog, Ronnie Barker, is barking away. I can record and work in total silence. Some highlights:

A Custom-built stand-alone vocal booth
High-quality Neumann condenser microphone to pick up all the nuances
Mixed density foams and bass traps to minimise reflections
A furry carpet… for my feet… 🙂
